Joe J reacted to Wickham in How to fit wrapper to the background?I usually set just one large background image for the body style and center it.
Then I make one page wrapper div to contain all my content and center that, so it won't move relative to the background horizontally. Then set heights and/or margin-top to divs inside the wrapper to make them sit over the background vertically.
