Thanks guys for the help . The IDE I use is PHP designer 7. I kinda felt I couldn't learn the language as I kept forgetting code but I guess its like anything in life the more you do it the better you remember it.

Thanks for the comments, the only reason I was thinking about the 13" was for portability. Also my current laptop does do what I need it to so I think I shall wait .

So basically I will be starting sixth form in september and this year the school is encouraging students to bring in our own laptops to help with study. So my father said I could get any laptop under £800 now or wait till december and get a macbook pro the 13" 2.7 ghz one . So I just wanted to know is it worth the wait to get a mac , or should I get a normal windows pc( btw I have a mediocre laptop that can do all my basic needs) thanks for the help

and One last thing (sorry to keep asking) any tips to remember the language (other than keep practising using it). I am forgetting some stuff I dont use very often. Thanks
