Hey, so we had a client who we basically ended everything with as she was a huge headache and never stopped asking for extra changes on top of changes. We gave her a disc of all her website and source files, this was nearly 2 years ago. She has now come back saying that the files that should be there aren't there and that her new designer can't move forward. From previous experience with developers and designers, they have all destroyed website data after handing over to the client. We gave her and her designers access to the ftp so they could download any other files but she still says that she doesn't have all the files. Now she is threatening legal action... My argument is that we gave her the files nearly 2 years ago and if she had checked at the time and come back we would have been able to assist her further, she says that's irrelevant. Who's right?! I'm not really willing to assist her as she's being so rude. But don't really fancy legal action.... Thanks!
