Hello, I recently paid someone from the forum to design and upload a website for me. Now it was only £440 however the designer has disappeared and I have been unable to contact him. I know nothing about HTML and have just spend the last hour changing the telephone number on my site. I want to make some changes to the site, I have linked to photo bucket some pics of the modifications I would like to make. From what I can understand I will need to wait until the site becomes available again and then transfer it. I am just glad I now understand the problem. Thank you all for your help.

Hi Pat, My email seems to be working fine. I am currently holding to speak to someone at intelliserve. Hopefully they will have some good news. Do you know if this is a good hosting company or should I change for web fusion?

Thanks Mike & Pat. OK, just off the phone with web fusion. The site isn't being hosted with them, it is being pointed to intelliserve.org. They are based out in Moldova and advertise them self as the cheapest hosting company. Their site is currently down, would it make sense to transfer it back to web fusion so as to avoid this happening again? Thanks for all your help.

Hello, my site is still down and the link spitfire posted shows no known faults. I have tried calling the designer and emailing him but have had no response. I am getting increasingly worried, thankfully I have paid via paypal but I only have a week to put in a claim which I would really rather not do. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you Christopher

He is very good, sorry didn't even think about linking the URL. I just couldn't understand what was wrong and wanted a second opinion. The guy is out of the country and I couldn't reach him. One more quick question how do I + his reputation?

cwqtrading is me. The website designer is (removed) A decent guy and did a very good job, I just dont understand why the site has disappeared.

No problem with payment, I paid 50% before work started and 50% after it was complete. The site has been up for 3-4 weeks. So didn't go live today. I have no access to anything like ftp, cpanel, or host. Is there anyway I can stop this from happening in the future?
