Just a quick one, what page file size are we at now?
Hi Guys I'm back designing my second website after a couple of years. What body widths are you guys designing to? 960px? and generally what is the maximum file size a page should be at the moment? it was 100kb. Thanks

Really basic but i'm new. Illustrator logo
I've done as suggested and saved the file as a png 24, this has solved the white effect around the logo problem but now a little concerned about the file size but you can't have everything! Thanks for your help.

Really basic but i'm new. Illustrator logo
Hi evu I do have the original vector artwork. In illustrator i deleted the background and saved as a png which i thought was the correct method. This worked to some extent but the logo looks quite poor and not crisp as there is white edging around the logo, maybe i reduced the quality/file size too much? could this be the reason for the white edges or any other ideas?

Hi Chris That is exactly what i did. I deleted the background, saved as a png but when putting it on my website the logo has white edging and looks poor. Maybe i reduced the file/quality size too much? any other reason?

Really basic but i'm new. Illustrator logo
Hello I've had a friend design me a simple logo. I'm happy with the logo apart from the background colour. What i want to do is to remove the background and for it to become transparent so that the background colour on my web page shows through rather than the colour my friend used. I tried saving it as a png file which makes the background transparent but the logo dosen't look good as it has a white edging right round. Have i done something wrong or is there a better way? Thank you.

Simple background image positioning
Hi Guys I'm new to web design and would appreciate your help. I have a image that i wish to use in the background, it's a illustration of blades of grass and bees flying above it. I want this image to stay at the bottom of the page at all times and be a set distance away from the page body. so when you scroll down this image scrolls down as well and page body doesn't scroll into this picture. Also want to know how i can get this image to resize width ways so its stays in proportion on different monitors. Thanks for your help in advance

Illustrator beginner problems
Hi Very basic question for you guys, i'm new to illustrator. My friend has designed me a logo in illustrator. I've cropped the space around the logo down from the original so now when i go and save for web and devices the jpg shows the white space of the orginal canvas size. How do i make my edited logo to be the new canvas size and not show the white space from the original? Thanks
