  1. Its been an interesting mix of stress and feelings of achievement lol. I learned fast that being too much of a nice guy will kill you in this business when the first few 'big' clients I got really milked me for everything I was worth in terms of work for their money adding in more and more in the original price. I have found allot of good advice here already and a much better community then other forums like UKBF and DigitalPoint.
  2. In my opinion Mac is the best option although I personally would go down the iMac route, the screens are much larger and lets be honest for design a laptop is never the best option. I use my iPad for mobile use on the train, at shows and to demo to clients etc and even get some simple xhtml coding done on it, everything else I do at home anyway so no real need to compromise. BTW not an apple fanboy, I used to buy anything else to avoid being an apple sheep but after using the iPhone, iMac and now iPad I can see that they are better for most applications in this industry. My windows laptop and notebooks barely ever get turned on anymore lol
  3. Hello All My name is Mark Searle, I have been in web designer a while now and recently started working for myself full time offering websites to the SME marketplace. My main strengths are in design although I have a good understanding of all aspects of web development. As well as running my web design company I also am in development of other web based projects, I am always looking for good business models and love to help ideas with potential to become a big success. I hope to get advice from these forums and where I can help out others as well. I am a friendly guy so feel free to add me on skype. I hope to get to know you all better! @Unicora Skype - unicora_webdesign
