Yes, inDesign is the best answer. If you're wanting to get quite creative with the background though, you can design it in Photoshop and just import it into inDesign for the background of all the pages (if they're to be the same layout).

I have to say I liked it more without an icon for the logo. You can use an icon in certain instances ie a favicon or something, but I don't know that I would use one for the logo over all. I thought the hand looked good just being next to the text. Very good design either way.

I have to say I like the 3rd one if it going to stay on a black background. You might run into contrast issues if it will be on various backgrounds though. I think you have a good start either way.

I'm looking for any suggestion on any good design books. Not necessarily web design either. I'm looking to push my graphic design capabilities. Anything about theory and/or technique would be great. I've read plenty of design tutorials and blogs, but I'm looking for something to really get my head wrapped up in the industry of design. Thanks for any advice.

I think the simplicity of the website is a nice change for the genre of your site. I also love how fast it loads for hosting video content. The only suggestion I would give is you integrate the advertising into the layout rather than leave it hanging out on the site the way it is. Maybe post one towards the top of the page and one towards the bottom. Very nice and clean website though.

I'm not from across the pond as we generally refer to it. I'm from the US in Ohio. I'm currently a front-end developer for a web development company. I should be way better than I am for nearly doing this for eight years, but I keep hitting the blogs and books to continue my education. I do have an Associate's in web design and would like to go for my Bachelor's when my life allows it. I've been into web design since 2003 and have been hooked ever since. I tell people I'm halfway to greatness as kind of a joke. Outside of my career, I'm a proud parent of two wonderful daughters and been happily married for six years. I ride a Harley, love to camp, hunt, and fish, as well as play the occasional Xbox game. So I guess I'm not typical designer, so I'm told. I am looking for a community of people that can give great advice to keep pushing me forward with my career, as well as help anyone that is just starting out or thinks I have something to offer in the way of advice.
