  1. Cheers for the advice Do you know of any image websites were "free means free", the ones I've tried so far always seem to come with a catch. Thanks.
  2. Hello again OK things are going well at the moment and I'm happy with the Home and Contact pages. Having a bit of trouble with the About page. I've condensed the Services and About page into one as we didn't have enough content to make separate pages, however I'm not sure it really grabs your attention or wants you to read on. Any thoughts would be great thanks.
  3. Cheers for that, I had it on centre. Now changed and looks a lot better ta.
  4. Hello Thanks to everyone for the advice so far, I just wanted your thoughts on the contact page. Any advice would be great thanks.
  5. Hello Just wanted a opinion on the layout of a website for my mother in law, just wanted to make sure I'm heading in the right direction. Trying to keep it clean and not cluttered, and any advice would be great thanks.
  6. Hello Just wanted your opinion on a website I'm doing for my mother in law. She's a teacher for autistic children and wants to set up by herself giving advice to parents in there home. Having looked at other websites in the same area, they all seem to be very over crowed and hard to find your way around. Still very early days yet as I'm not sure what she wants yet, the photo and text are just copies from other sites I just wanted your advice on the general layout. Cheers.
  7. Evening all Just wanted your thoughts on my website footer at advantagedrivingschool.org.uk. I'm quite happy with the content but something does not look quite right any ideas? I know useful links is repeated on my contact page, I want to replace this with a proper contact form but I'm struggling to find a decent HTML code sample even though there are loads out there. I will replace at some point the testimonials section on my about page with a image of me and the car. Testimonals will then be moved to my connect section on the footer. Any other advice would be great thanks cheers.
  8. Evening all Following on from my first review of my website and taken your advice on board I've made some changes. Once again any feedback would be great thanks. advantagedrivingschool.org.uk
  9. Evening all My website advantagedrivingschool.org.uk has been up and running about a month now and whilst I'm chuffed it's quite prominent on the major search engines, with regards to local searches it's basically not there. If I type driving lessons or driving instructor in S****horpe and Brigg, my website comes up on about the 4th page. Is there anyway I can improve this and reach my target area, or is it a case of over time it may come up more? Cheers for any advice thanks.
  10. Hello everyone Just needed advice about a paid listing. I listed my first website on a couple of free business listings, just to get it noticed a bit. Next day I got a phone call for a paid listing, the guy was ok and and from city visitor. I've got to admit when you type in "driving schools s****horpe" there link site does come up first. However the listing would cost me £150 per year, is that a good price as I'm not sure? Any advice would be great thanks.
  11. Thanks for all your advice, gone with that bullet design for my prices looks a lot clearer now. cheers.
  12. Thanks for all your advice, I think I may have sorted the centering problem. I may be out of my depth on this website design thingy, you lads really know what your doing. With regards to putting keywords in my header, are google really not keen on this? I'm getting conflicting advice on that subject. Only put my website on a couple of free business listings last night and I'm getting calls already to do a paid listing. Will see how it pans out before I go ahead. Once again thanks.

  14. Err you don't hold back Andy I'll give ya that. I'm using Web Page Maker to create my website, when you mention it not been centered I take it you mean on the monitor? This maybe down to me using a notebook, so I suspect on a monitor with a high resolution it maybe to the left? Any ideas how to sort this out? Thanks for your advice and I've taken it on board.
  15. Hello everyone Just wanted any advice or suggestions on my first website for my driving school. Having done a lot of research on other schools websites, I generally find them over the top with too much information or take ages too load. I've tried too keep it nice and clean with a fast loading time and only giving the information, a potential student may need. I might add images at a later date, however I am worried about loading times as I'm trying to gain custom from areas with either dial up or slow broadband. Any ideas or thoughts on how to improve it would be great thanks, the website address is advantagedrivingschool.org.uk. Once again thanks.
