April 8, 201214 yr Hello Just wanted your opinion on a website I'm doing for my mother in law. She's a teacher for autistic children and wants to set up by herself giving advice to parents in there home. Having looked at other websites in the same area, they all seem to be very over crowed and hard to find your way around. Still very early days yet as I'm not sure what she wants yet, the photo and text are just copies from other sites I just wanted your advice on the general layout. Cheers.
April 9, 201214 yr Hi Ricky, There's not really much to comment on at the moment, you would be better off doing more and coming back. Saying that, all I could say is the design is very simple at the moment but that's not a bad thing and would suit your target audience if done well. Colours are fine. Some things you might want to consider moving on: The key to simple sites is making sure you use white-space well, grids and nice type. Remember, no one likes walls of text. Chunk information up to make it easier to read and things stand out. Think of what information they really want to see and what they don't ("We don't care about your © information, don't let it distract us"). In my opinion anyway Best of luck! ~evu.
