Transfer my wordpress blog from MAMP to host help needed
Evening All Ok so I have my Wordpress site locally hosted on MAMP (as advised by you clever lot) but now need to get this transferred to my host on my domain that I have purchased with Easyspace. I have tried a you tube search but keep getting poor tutorials on how to do this. Can anyone please advise me on the best way to achieve this, or point me in the direction of a good tutorial? I contacted Easyspace about one click installation but was told that this only works with new blogs and I wouldn't be able to transfer my work over. I don't want to have to start again from scratch. Thanks in advance for your help. Oh, I'm in North Devon if anyone fancies a cuppa and walking me through it. Greg

My first iphone website
Nice, love the simple interface, and branding sits well me (I am 30 something, though still feel 18). bit like ask Jeeves but 15 years on. If you are the same guy in the blog videos on The Social Ignition site then I reckon go into presenting, I would watch you on the telly! I am sure there will be someone to give you a better critique of your mobile site, I am just starting out in the design world. But for what its worth, I like your style. Good luck, but I don't think you will need it.

Which CMS to learn for a noob?
No, not heard of that, I was going to go with on of those 'one click install hosts' but I seem to be chucking 10 quid here and 10 quid there for everything at the moment, hence my initial question. I am a spammers dream at the moment! I'll check that out though - Thanks for your help.

Which CMS to learn for a noob?
Thanks cibgraphics. I have been messing around with .com but think I will go a host and jump on the .org over the weekend to get a proper feel for it. I have been looking at the code behind templates and plugins/widgets to try and get up to speed but find my creative mind often cannot keep up with my web design skills and find myself designing around my skills rather than what I want to see on the page. I realize I have a long road ahead, and wish I had jumped in properly ten years ago when I started playing around. Patience and practice hey! Hats off to you guys in the long haul seats though, you reap what you sow and all that.

Which CMS to learn for a noob?
Hi I am a noob studying Dreamweaver and FLASH but can already see that I will need to know a CMS package inside out. I am fairly competent with the likes of Wix and Weebly and have dabbled with Wordpress. I am on a 30 trial with Joomla, have heard about Drupal, but which should I really concentrate on for now? I am sure all have pros and cons over others depending on what you are looking to do, but based on my 'freshman' skill set and that I will probably only be using it for the basics for now what would you advise? Cheers

Noob Question: web buttons in Illustrator
Hi All So I have been in the Web Design world for all of about six weeks and am settling into Dreamweaver quite well. I am now wanting to create my own rollover image buttons for my site and have created a simple capsule button in two different color variants in illustrator. When I try inserting the buttons using the rollover image option I am getting the whole artboard page rather than just the image inserted. I am saving as a .jpg for web and devices. Can somebody please tell me how to save just the image as if it were a cut out rather than the white page behind. I do realize I am at the start of a very long rd here but I guess we all have to start somewhere! Thanks in advance
