I think the script scripts.min.js is doing all the main work. The Modernizr js streamlines all the HTML5 and CSS elements I think. Im trying to find more information on the scripts.min.js. Thanks

Thanks.. I was looking at the source and the Libraries used are modernizr.min.js, scripts.min.js and analytics.js. But Im trying to breakdown the main part of the library that does the Full screen, or find some tips on how this was done. Any ideas??

Hi everyone, I have been checking out some cool sites lately and came across Mike Kus website here http://mikekus.com. I love the way the images are full screen and fade in and out. Also, the portfolio has a nice scaleable feature. I also, noticed he's using something called mixture, but Im not really sure what this does, I'm trying to find out how its been built, i.e. what JS scripts etc, how the portfolio section has been scaled, does anyone know what tricks he's using? wow, you are cheap... I'm an Freelance artworker, and I charge £25 p/h. I'm also in the same boat as I'm in the process of working out how much I should charge per hour for web design. I think you have to be honest but also know your skill level and knowledge.. My cost, considering I'm Planning/.Designing/Building/Testing would be anything from £30 -£60. Does this seem too much? I'm not sure.. lister

hi everyone,.. Could someone please help..my first proposal.. I have been building sites for a few years but mainly for friends and family. Now I have been asked to write a proposal for a friend so they can submit this to there board, before I can formally discuss any major issues or concerns, which inturn give them a better cost / quote. The company in mention is a small but well built company with a 30 year history. They have built up a strong client base through word of mouth, but there current site is dreadfull and has no SEO in place and no other marketing. The current site has at the moment 46 pages from 6 main sections. And is currently a wordpress site but badly designed and built. Within the proposal I didn't want to give a figure or breakdown without first talking to the client and really knowing what the client needs. But, my friend needs to submit a figure based on a starting price, and then after proper consultation I can discuss a more clear and structured cost, keeping in mind the client budget (if there is one). I know this is a difficult quesion to answer, but what price would you give to design and develop a CM site exactly using the same Elements / Nav structure as above. this would only be a starting price. Also, within the propsal I would like some user statistics to help the client understand certain trends when a user comes to a web page ie: how many times does a user come to your site before they purchase a product / service. Does anyone know where I can find good statistics to use within a proposal.. Thanks lister

If you search google for web proposal.pdf of web proposal.doc you should find a few templates (I found a few).

I am planning a new website, but first I would like to take a snapshot of the old site including all the pages as png/gifs if not graphics a list, like a site map So I can a keep a record of them.. does anyone know any software which can screen shot a whole site, like follow the links and snapshot each page automatically? I have looked at Paparazzi, little snapper.. but they take a screen shot of only one url. This can be for Mac of PC cheers lister

hi everone I have been learning web design and development for a few years and have built a few sites. mainly for friends and colleagues. Most of my sites have been static, though I have helped build and maintained a wordpress site and textpattern site. I friend of mine has asked me to write a web design proposal for a company they do work for. The company are a is a light engineering business with quite a few years of trading. The current site is very ugly and is in need of a fresh and professional update with re-branding, Usability and structure. As its my first proposal I'm a little un-sure how to approach this for the first time, considering this is going direct to the proposed client. 1. Should all proposals provide quotes at initial stage.? I'm a little worried here as I have had no communication with the client as of yet 2. The current branding within the site uses quite an ugly logo. How do you suggest to the client that they need to think about re-deisgning the logo and brand colours before work is done on the design look and feel. Or are some sites designed around a bad logo? could anyone give us some tips or advice for planning proposals for a new client for the very first time. I have done some research on google but would like to know how people here started off? Thanks lister

please could someone help. I have view my site in ie7 and safari and firefox and all look ok. The problem I have is ie5 and 6. The artists page has floats on the right which seem to shift half down the page. Hello everyone, could someone please help. I have been looking for a tutorial or a good explanation on the best way to create shadow all around my web page. The whole site is contained within 600x800px and sits centred in the browser. Im not sure where to start in terms of slicing graphics so it works within w3 standards and CSS (no tables). and then nested in a container div.
