Thank you for that suggestion (and your time to answer) I haven't heard of Moodle before. I just had a very quick peep as I need to go to bed (3 kids!). Could I use Moodle just as a website builder? Or is it specifically on online learning? The school haven't said that online learning is what they want included in the website, but if i could make it in this to begin with it would be nice to give them the opportunity to use the online learning options too. Hello!! I have been asked to make a website for my son's school. I have been a freelance designer now for 9 months and this is a very exciting job for me but I'm not sure what the best software is for them. So far I know how to use joomla, wordpress, freeway, dreamweaver and can learn another if need be!! The school want to be able to update the site and occasionally make their extra pages, for newsletters etc.. With joomla/wordpress or another CMS I guess making extra pages, under various categories would be an option, then with dreamweaver or freeway I could use a Content Editor that allows extra pages to be added in - I think Unify allows this. My worry is, if I use a open source CMS then they would need to go and update plugins etc regularly, which I want to avoid and they don't want to have to do or incur extra cost for me to do it for them. If I use dreamweaver/freeway, am I or are they, going to be limited by the non CMS element in anyway? Is there another software option? I have looked on the web, but school website software seems to be offered mainly by companies who'll do create whole site, or expect the school to make it, but not necessarily sell the software to designers. My lack of experience doesn't help when making this decision, so I would appreciate your help and suggestions. I am very open to learning. :-) Thank you so much for reading this so far....

Hello! I need a bit of advice with what CMS system and pricing to charge for adding into a dreamweaver site. I've made a 5 page site which is now finished the client is asking for the ability to update it. I quoted her one price for the site design, so I see the CMS as another cost. What CMS system should I go for and what do I charge? I've looked at Cushy/Surreal/Unify, how/what would I charge for these? What's the best one for my situation as I am not hosting sites yet I feel that I cannot charge a monthly fee to pay towards Surreal and Cushy (although I know I can get Cushy for free). So then that leaves Unify, but what would I charge for implementing that? This is the first site I have been asked to add a CMS into after finishing it, and one of only 6 sites I've ever made!! (I am fairly new to all this pricing lark sites and CMS) so I'd really appreciate some advice on this. Thank you :-)
