  1. WAMP / PHPmyAdmin / password

    All help gratefully received - I have just installed WAMPserver2 with the defaults (Windows Vista, Apache 2.2.11, Mysql 5.1.36, PHP 5.3.0). When I try to use PHPMyAdmin, I get error 1045 "MySQL said: #1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)" I assume the following: - that MySQL works because it is giving an error. - root works as a password becasue I can start MySQL and enter root as a password. - PHP is working OK because I get a "welcome to PHPMyAdmin" header when I start it. I am assuming that there is a setup file somewhere but I am struggling to find it. any ideas? Thanks guys and girls. best marc
