So far, the best reference that I've found for CSS is: The Ultimate CSS Reference by Sitepoint If you're able to get this book in some way, I would recommend reading it. Best CSS book/reference I've ever seen. It talks all about which css code works in what browsers.

There are certain CSS properties that aren't supported by all browsers. For example, Internet Explorer has several special filters to add special effects to content. Sadly, the filters don't work in some other browsers. You would be better off making a drop shadow using a program such as Gimp or Inkscape and adding it into your webpage that way (through an image). Avoid using browser specific CSS code in general unless you are purposely doing so.

Hello everyone. I just finished creating my new logo design and I would like some comments from the community. This is my first graphic design post so be gentle

I've been looking for a great web design forum for a long time and it looks like I've finally found one. About myself, I'm a web designer / graphic designer and a former Java programmer. I used to know a great deal of HTML, CSS, and Javascript by heart, but I've slacked off because of school, so now I'm rereading all my web design books to catch up. In addition to that, I've also been reading books on PHP (which is easy for me to learn because of my history with Java and OOP) so I can create web apps. After that, I plan to read about JQuery. Seems like a lot of work, but I'm up to the challenge. I look forward to participating in this forum and it's competitions. PS: I hate flash
