I have an extablished HTML site. When I amend or update existing pages, the hite rate for the page in questions drops through the floor. I've read 301 Redirect can help in some way using the .htaccess file, but all tutorials I read focus on redirecting domans to new sites, or old pages to new pages. On ChristianPrayerReflections.co.uk I have a page called JeanVanierprofile.html . If I want to update the page without losing hits everytime I amend it, what can i do? Any ideas? I'm a bit of a beginner on this. James

Apologies for such a simple query. I'm building a site www.christianprayerreflections.co.uk . # I've loads of content and good ideas for it. But I'm building every page individually (ie laying out each page with a copy/paste of the header and table structure & menu). I'm sure I'm being stupid. there has to be a way of simply writing the text and then slotting it into a formatter or something - is this what CSSs are? I think there is some CSS on my page, but its still taking donkeys-years to build the thing and, dependening on the content of each page, my title and menu keep getting knocked out of whack. Can anyone guild a stupid novice? please! Jim Cuming
