I don't get what you mean by a prompt?

Incase anyone was wondering the attached image is what we've gone for. As you can see we've modified the design a little as the two top lozenges have a different reaction than the bottom 3. The arrows/ticks to the right of the lozenges (tasks) show their state. The tick implies complete, the largest arrow is the logical next task, and the small arrows show the other todo items. This implies a sensible ordering through the process, however this is not enforced by the system.

Thanks for your ideas guys... We have spent quite a bit of time on this, the problem is avoiding metaphors used elsewhere. - Filling Clock : the problem with this is there is no progressive system - LED : this is too much like a radio button, and implies selection - Star : this is too similar to the idea of marking something as a favourite. We've decided to go with an arrow, this had come up in early discussions and having it reflected back here secured the idea in our heads. Thanks guys!

Hey there, Can anyone suggest an icon that would be suitable for the following: - Draws attention to a task that needs to be completed - Is not as strong as a warning or an error - Is suitable as an opposite for a tick when the task has been completed So far we have considered a plain exclamation mark but it isn't bold and doesn't look suited to the placement. We have also considered using an arrow, but would like peoples opinions. I've attached an image showing the different between the two states. The top is the initial state the requires the users attention, and once complete the blue state with the green tick will be shown (the contrast of the green tick will be greater, this is just an example). Any ideas you can give would be brilliant.
