  1. Look good, I see you have not put the logo on the page yet? Looks fresh and clean, think the clients will go for it. One thing is it is very hard to read the text in the footer, you might like to bring back some of the opacity.
  2. You can use one big image, bandwidth is not such a problem these days. I tend to use a 1px wide strip and repeat it, that way no matter how big the viewers monitor is they will always see the background. You can use the strip with a header and footer image making them say 900px wide on page using margin: auto to centre. That way you can add some interesting graphic to the main part and then have a repeating strip at the sides. It gives a good aesthetic to size/performance pay-off.
  3. Hi Tom, Welcome to the forum. Hope you find your time here useful.

  5. Hi all, new to the forum just wanted to introduce myself. Being designing for 6 or 7 years now. Worked designing sports wear, equipment, websites, graphics, logos. Recently moved in to mobile app design, not the coding just the design. Wont name drop any of the company's I work(ed) for here but a few names you might well have heard of. Look forward to chewing the fat with you's lot.
