Hi all,
Currently I own a website which I am selling wedding cards on. The website is currently built using Joomla / Virtuemart. To get one step ahead of my competition, I am trying to create a portal whereby my customers invitees' can have the ability to RSVP online. Here is something what I am looking for:
Method 1 – The Customer manages their Responses online
The customer will have the ability to upload a file (.csv) with a list of all their invitees’. The website will then give them useful information such as how many people in total they have invited. They can then log onto the website at any time and manage their responses. i.e. when people reply, they can log on and update who has replied. This will then give them useful information such as 200 people have been invited, of which 60 people will be attending and 10 people will not be (with the other 130 still to reply).
Method 2 – Invitees’ have ability to RSVP online
The customer will have the ability to upload a file (.csv) with a list of all their invitees’. Once this is done, they are able to give each invitee a login (or a PIN number) to log on and RSVP online. For example if I was invited to a wedding, the person that has sent me an invite will ask me to RSVP online at www.(websitename).co.uk/(customersname). When I go to that link, I will enter my password (which is potentially automatically created) and enter the number of people attending. This will feed the information back to the person that has invited me. The password would be something like 'surname' followed by random numbers e.g. surname89431. When I log in, it would be slightly personalised - 'Welcome Mr (Surname) - you have been invited to attend the Wedding Ceremony of......please enter how many people will be attending...' Also, this will need to facilitate multi functions i.e. Wedding Ceremony, Reception Party, Engagement Party etc. An important note is that some people may be invited to attend several functions; others may be invited to attend the one.
I do not mind using another application (besides Joomla) if I can get something to help me achieve this.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Any help is much appreciated.
Many Thanks,
Oodya
