  1. Hello all As a new web site designer I am constantly developing my skills. Something that has cropped up that I need to know is how to link a PowerPoint presentation to a web site. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Many thanks to anyone who can help me. Kath
  2. Do you mean a site map? If so go to http://www.about-u-webdesigns.co.uk and click the site map link to see an example Kath

Thanks, I put it onto loop and that is better, although you must ok the following error message before it starts up again: "cannot find file (file name and path) make sure the path or internet address is correct" I used: hidden="false" to display the controls to no avail and: controls="smallconsole" to no avail either. It is a movie on a web page that the user has to activate and not a resident movie. Kath

Hello I have included .swf movie into a website I am designing. Once the movie has played it shows an error message on the screen and the user has to use the back arrow at the top left hand of the screen to navigate back to the website. Does anyone know how to put a 'skin' on the .swf movie so that the user has control of stop/start? I would be very pleased to hear from you. Thanks, Kath
  5. Hi Lemony I too, am a new web designer and was lucky enough to come across http://www.20-20webdesign.co.uk who host websites. I would recommend them as they are easy to deal with and always answer queries promptly and helpfully. Look up their website and see what you think. Kath

Thank you to everyone who advised me about Pay Pal. I will get experimenting. I know html and css. Is it essential to know scripting language? I will feedback in due course anything helpful I find out in trying this out. Kath

I have just joined the forum as a new web designer. I recently had to turn down a project as the client wanted to have on-line payment via pay pal. Is this difficult to implement? I would be very pleased to have more information Thanks, Kath
  8. Hi there. I am a new web designer, working on my first project. It has been a steep learning curve. The website is to be published within the next month. I hope to ask for your opinions in due course. Kath
  9. The website is elegant in its simplicity. Good videos that play immediately. Perhaps it could be improved with more distinctive headings, ie a different colour and some space at the sides of the website, either margins or padding, especially on the contact page where the form is very near the left hand side, with lots of space on the right hand side. Without knowing a lot about hamsters, the content appears to be very comprehensive and useful to hamster owners. Well done. Kath
