  1. Hello folks, I've just been reading an interesting post over on the Erskine Blog about payment terms and why they think that the standard '30 days' is not great for cash flow (no arguments from me there!). It seems that Erskine go with terms of 7 Days. Initially I thought that sounded a bit too...well, harsh....but having reflected on it I think it makes a lot of sense and I'm currently mulling over the possiblity of making a change to my standard terms accordingly. Does anyone else use these kind of terms? I'm assuming 30 days is still very much the norm? Just interested in opinions really Lucy

  4. Hello all, I've been lurking around the forum for a few days now, and you all seem like such a friendly bunch I thought it only polite to say 'hello' before plunging headlong into a posting frenzy. I'm Lucy from Swindon and I've been bimbling around the design/dev world for a few years now under various guises. I've recently formed Ursus Media with my partner (Ursus Media if you're feeling nosy ) and business is beginning to pick up nicely - we're due to move into our first serviced office at the end of week, so it's an exciting time. I've done quite a bit of work with oscommerce in the past (yup, still having nightmares... lol), but am keen to get on the learning curve of Magento so expect to find me haunting the ecommerce forum. I suppose primarily I'm simply here to learn and share, and generally network with others in the industry. I'm sure that's enough waffle from me for now....looking forward to getting to know you all. Lucy
