  1. I am putting a website together for a client and they have 2 nav bars, a horizontal one across the top with drop downs and then on the content pages a vertical nav bar on the left with links, so I was wondering if anyone has any good examples of websites where when on small screens they have a good way of dealing with these 2 nav bars as they both need to be there for the client. Cheers
  2. Hello all, Im using a PC, and one of my clients has just let me know that a friend of his who uses a Mac can see issues with his website that I cant see. Is there a way of me being able to run a Mac browser on my PC so I can see what the problem is. It would be good to be able to see all the browsers too, rather than just say IE. Cheers
  3. I'm thinking its all about floating div's, but I'm not 100% sure. On large sites these days, you see this advert idea they have that for most is a right pain in the backside, but for what I want to do, is the perfect answer. I noticed it first on Yahoo's home page but as it goes its not there today. But sometimes they have a small advert tucked in the right column. Then on click the same advert appears in larger view above all the other content. I will be displaying a flash movie, and I'm not worried about the transparency issue, all I would like to do is on click of that smaller advert, the larger one appears inside a div above all the other content, and it can be easily closed when needed. Can anybody point me to a good tutorial? Cheers
  4. Hi Sam, would you then host it in your country, or would you find a host in china or wouldnt it make a difference you think.
  5. No he gets quite a few buyers, and most of the hits he's getting this year have come from china. Its his best market at the moment, and was wondering how best to take advantage of it. So he asked me to look into the best way to do this, and so my thoughts where to duplicate the site have it translated into chinese, and then i thought the best thing to do would be to buy a chinese domain name and have it hosted in china. What I was wondering, is if others thought this was th ebest approach, and if anybody had done anything like this. Cheers lee
  6. I have a client that sells antique clocks, his website is doing well in the search engines in the UK, and he has worked it out that most of his visitors are coming from China. So this afternoon he asked me if it was a good idea, to have the site translated, have it hosted in China and also buy a chinese domain name. If he wanted to do this, as in be a british business, but have a site appear in the chinese search engines, do you think what he asked for baove is enough to get it going there. Or does anybody have any better ideas, or know of whats needed to get his site to appear over there. Cheers Lee
