Nice site!! Trying to think about web development but now I cant stop thinking about black stockings... How hard was it to make the custom cart? Something like that would be perfect actually.

I should have mentioned I'm looking for a free/open source solution. I had assumed it would be easy to bolt on ecommerce functionality with Zen Cart or osCommerce or whatever. I think I will need to do some more research here. One possibility is to create a 'store' area in a subdirectory. Is it possible to install say Zen or Open Cart like this? Ta for replys

Not yet, but there are only about 10 products max, so shouldnt be a problem. For payment, credit card and I'd like to keep them on my site if possible but if they have to jump to a PayPal page to fill in their details its not the end of the world. Thanks for replying.

I have gone ahead and created pretty much my full site thinking that I could add something like Zen Cart at the end. Zen Cart seems to be more of a full site solution that you can skin/configure than something you can bolt on to an existing site. Any ideas how I can easily get a cart/checkout built onto my existing layout? Cheers

I think 'transition' is the word you're after!

Nice concept but could be a bit more polished/professional looking. The vertical lines on the T are a bit jaggy, look into anti-aliasing to correct this. If inspiration strikes me I'll have a go for you, between everyone here we'll get you a sweet logo!!

Just an update... I tried xampp then wamp; they both seem much the same really, for my level at least. I think I'll stick with wamp as the interface is a little nicer IMO. I'm running WeBuilder (trial) and really liking it, I will probably buy it once the trial runs out. Lightweight, easy to setup and generally pleasant to use. And cheap Hopefully the debugging capabiilities are up to par though. Any thoughts on this? I run Firefox (and IE for testing) on a second monitor. WeBuilders code/preview split is probably handy for starting a page from scratch (and if you only have one display) but FF with Firebug seems the better option. Many thanks for the advice folks, hopefully I wont be posting too many dumb questions in the Server-Side forum!

Thanks for the reply. I've got the trial of WeBuilder, yeah it seems good. Nice and lightweight which is important for me. I generally go for free/open source but 30 notes or so for WeBuilder wouldnt hurt the beer fund too much I guess. I've installed xampp and am playing around with it. So far so good and I am going to use it for my current project. Its a bit annoying having to work out of c:/xammp/htdocs but I can live with that. I'll try WAMP after that.

It's all the free tutorials that are making me not want to bother shelling out for a book
