Hello everybody I'm a beginner in the realm of web design (I can write basic HTML and upload a website and that's pretty much it). I am currently undertaking a number of projects and have come to learn that to get quality websites, hiring the services of a pro is vital but can be costly. I would prefer, eventually, to be able to do much of the web development and design myself and I was wondering what designers would suggest is the best way to learn. Should I go to college or Uni or is it enough to delve into a few quality books or online articles. What about online tutorials (Adobe seem to do some good ones). I know some people say you just need to design and build a portfolio but there is so much to learn and the pace of change is so fast that I think something more structured would be better for me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated All the best Neil
