The main content area and the background are 2 very conflicting styles - you need to pick one or the other. The current colour palette you have, suites the grunge background far better than the 'cleaner' content area. Also, those promo boxes you have dotted about the page, they look more like adverts to me - I'd be less inclined to click on them for this reason.

Its looks ok - something about it makes it feel more like a blog than a portfolio (I think its the layout). As for the code, its good - but you've strayed into a bit of div-itis (using too many) for example... <div id="mm_project_details"> <div id="mm_applications_used_title"><strong>Applications Used </strong></div> <div id="mm_client_comments_title"><strong>Client Comment's</strong></div> You could quite easily be using the correct h2/3/4/5/6 for these 'titles'.

Positive: 1. Clean 2. Simple to navigate 3. Inoffensive design Negative: 1. Logo. "NewAge" to me, screams modern, exciting and pioneering - the serif typeface/color choice misrepresents this in my opinion. You have some nice logo pieces in your portfolio, you can do better for your own site! 2. Navigation - usability nightmare. Having to click to activate the link, then clicking to visit that link is big mistake. Single click only. 3. Markup. Your code uses tables for page layout, which we all know is incorrect - tables for tabular data only. By the looks of it the markup might be being generated from Image Ready. A professional web developer (as you claim you are) should avoid using Image Ready to generate code like the plague. Grab a decent editor, or better still get out notepad and hand code your layout. Just a few pointers there - please don't take them the wrong way

I actually quite like this design - but then again I am a big fan of simple/clean layout and pastel colours. One thing that really ruins it for me is this image http://hosting.actwebdesigns.co.uk/images/for_web/add1.gif The stroke/glow on the type cheapens the look of it, the image is also fairly unattractive.

Have you declared an appropriate width for the div #nav? I haven't had a chance to look through the code but is there a reason that the #nav ul is position absolutely? I would wipe the slate clean with the css you have and start over on that section. If its a fixed layout, avoiding %'s might make it easier for you.
