  1. Guys, this is all great, but everything so far has relied on knowing the widths/heights or elements, that I am just not going to know. 1 could be as height as anything depending on how long the item title is, 4 can be as wide/heigh as anything, as I won't know how big the thumbnail is, 3 could be as width as anything cos I don't know how many "option" links there will be in there. There has to be an elastic way of doing this, while preserving the elemnt load order and postioning. Thanks for all your help so far, please keep chucking ideas at me.
  2. Rachael, cheers for the swift reply. Unfortunately 4 is an "unknown" width, could be anything, so I can't explicitly declare the width of 4, or a container around 1,2 & 3. Changing 1's display to inline is a great idea, and completely passed me over, but I just tried it, and 3 still floats to the right but under 1 as if 1 were still block.
  3. Guys/Gals, can you please help, I'm really struggling to convince my company to allow me to change designs to allow for a descent content flow and simplicity, but they are ademant they want the following layout. I want to get the order of the elements loaded on the page the same as numbered in the picture, but I need them positioned in those places too. I want something like: h4 ... /h4 div ... /div ul ... /ul img / Thanks so much for your help in advance. Adam
  4. Thanks guys, I'm gonna give those sites a little read now. Appreciated Muchly. Adam
  5. Howdie, I'm a C#.net developer from the UK. I have the usual experience in C#/HTML/JavaScript/SQL/CSS/Flash and need some extra cash. I work full time as a software developer, but have a few evenings a week free to work. How do I go about finding tenders (not sure if that's the correct phrase), for simple websites that people want doing? any ideas and tips would be greatly appreciated. Kindest regards Adam
