Hi guys. I have decided to teach myself how to make websites (you lot make it sound so easy). I have a project I'm working on and for the last two weeks I have come up with a design then scrapped it and started all over again time and again. Can someone tell me is this a good design or am I still miles off the mark. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks guys! Adam

Hi guys and girls! Im not new to the forum, I've been lurking around for sometime, making the odd plea for help. My aim, is to become a web developer. Its a long term goal, but one Im prepared to focus on. If anyones got any advice as far as books, online tutorials or just what order I should learn coding in then throw it all at me. Ok well this is a little rushed as I got on to it when I got in from a night out but heres an updated view again please ignore size and excess white space at the bottom. Nav font has been edited too.

your right the fonts are different. Thats an accident I was trying different ones out and forgot to pick one. Ill check that site out thanks pal

Oh and one other thing about the image. I wanted to make the car look like fun and a serious city / town car. does that come across?

fist off i know a couple of things firstly its far too big. when on my site the bottom of the image will be the bottom of a fully open web browser and theres some rough edges on the image. Ill iron them out. But please be gentle as I keep coming back for more punishment and every design gets slated. I like this one and there will be content below that image Let me know what you think. ta Adam

For Better or For Worse. This time can you ignore rough edges and what not as Ill sort that out once I think the actual design is professional looking enough so please let me know what makes this still look amaturish. Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I didnt know about css galeries before so thats helped. So hers a revised addition. The blue sqaure in the middle is going to be filled by a Jquery effect. Any more advice?
