Hi guys, Im new....so please dont be too harsh, Just Honest! Im making a website for my local aquarium(free of charge, not earning money yet!

 

I havent finished it but Id like some reviews of how it is so far: If a link doesnt work its probably because that section hasnt been done yet, Im still working on the site.

Another thing that worries me is loading times....

Hi, it's a lovely color, but I think you should make the lovely menu style also, and please make something attractive on your web header, and I hope you will make an aqua graphic style on your background.

 

Overall of your site are the rectangular layout style, if possible please add more smooth and curve layout and then everything will be look goods.

I don't usually encourage gradients as too much can look tacky, but I think you should add one for the main blue colour, maybe make it shade darker down the bottom. Also as kok said, make a nicer navigation-perhaps use more fish. Yes definitely use more fish since it is for an aquarium website. Also if the client has imgaes of their aquariums would make a great touch. Good luck.

I agree with Koko's idea - try making it curvy instead of rectangular!

 

Wavy across the top maybe to make it feel more watery.

 

There is nothing I would say is wrong with the design, just you have a lot of room to do something really fun with this so go for it.

 

One thing, looking at your code, I don't know what you're using to make the site but you have an absolute tonne of code for quite a simple layout. Try reducing the code to bare minimum and you should find the loading time decreases.

I havent looked at your code but bringing your bubble animation down to the rectangle box so it looks as if it is coming up from behind it would look better. At the moment it comes up from nowhere.

And as said above some Curved corners to make it look more fluid.

Some more contrast would be nice. Gradients aren't tacky when done properly.
