Review of project in early development

Featured Replies

Hi, long time lurker first time poster here.

I am currently in early development of a new social networking website.

I would really appreciate all feedback on these three initial designs. Any comments would be good; negative, positive, changes to be made, suggested improvements etc.

All designs are for the homepage. Thanks in advance! :D

Hey,

I've gotta say, I think it looks really good...like the colours and the layout, not too cluttered.

Good job!

Its a choice between the 1st and 3rd.

The 2nd one is too plain, it looks half-done compared to the other two.

If the 3rd one is done well (lots of luvverly ajax) then I would say that one. The 1st one might work better as a static - it looks less web2.0

i like 1 &3

but i think best would be 3 with bigger pics like in 1

I prefer #1. I feels warmer and softer than the others. Good thing that the sidebar is on the right as it's closer to the scrollbars and lets the eye hit the main content first as it runs left to right.

thanks for the replies guys, any opinions on specifics areas you like and dislike for each design would be great for evaluating the designs..

many thanks :D

I think either first or third. Both are equally good for different reasons. However, if i had to decide - I would probably say the first!

Paul.

I'd say the first one although I prefer the logo on the third one.

The glossy reflection on the first logo doesn't seem in keeping with the handwritten type that its reflecting.

I hope that makes sense :)
