Need some advice on a new program

Featured Replies

Hi Members

I have a website design company, and i am having problems finding a code that can give me the following.

I want my customers that want to update their website themselves, the access to do so. Without being able to mess with the layout to much.

I have seen cms and used them, but this is not whot i require.

Example, somebody who want to update text and photos on a car dealership website, or somebody who wants to update their small business website with new photos.

I do not want them to use a system like coreftp, as most of my clients are not familiar with this service, and computers are not their strong point.

I know their are programs to do this, but have not been able to find the one that would be ideal for me.

Please can somebody suggest something that may be of use, preferable a free code that i can use again and again.

thankyou alun1974

Hi Alan

How do you know a CMS is not what you want? I think it is exactly what you want!

Try googling 'CMS from scratch', so simple to set up and use. AND FREE!!!

Alternately, you can BUY Macromedia Contribute (now Adobe) for about £130. Not as good in my opinion.
