I'm new to web design (but experienced C++) so patience please ... I'd like to upload data to my web host and have a web page read it and display that data in a table? eventually I'd also like to click on an entry and draw a graph or something .. just experimenting at the moment..

 

could someone advise me where to start and if resources (widgets?) exist etc.to minimize effort or perhaps similar projects.

 

More than willing to spend time educating myself, just want a good starting point. e.g. do I need to start learning ASP? Any help appreciated.

Hi mate, a few ways to do this, I'd opt for PHP as i'm bias that way.

 

Option 1: Use a MYSQL database with PHP.

Option 2: Use a manually created array with PHP.

Option 3: Use a csv and import it with PHP.

 

As with all things web there's always more than one way.
