Hi, I'm Colin - pleased to be on here!

 

My background is in databases but somewhere along the way I was asked to look after a company intranet and got into website work, mainly server side. I used this as a basis to develop a website for my football club and it's become a labour of love.

 

So I am entirely self-taught. I struggle with object-oriented concepts to be honest, but I have become a competent procedural PHP developer.

 

The main motivation for joining the forum is to get an opportunity for feedback on my work, and to learn from other developers' and designers' trials and tribulations as well.
