November 17, 201510 yr Hello everyone, So I am new to the world of e-commerce and web design so I am hoping that some kind people will be able to point me in the right direction. I work for a Bakery, we have 34 customers that are all part of the same coffee shop chain. I would like to create a web ordering system that will allow these 34 shops to login and place their weekly order. The shops order for a week at a time and specify how many of a particular product they would like to recieve on each day. The order page must therefore be a grid with the product names on the verticle axis and days of the week on the horizontal axis. I need to be able to apply some rules to the order grid such as no changes to the next days order, minimum and maximum order values, group products by category and also the client has requested the inclusion of a budget calculation which will show the percentage over or under budget. They have also asked that the previous weeks order is auto populated to help guide them with placing the order. To further complicate matters they also require an Admin sign on that will allow them to review all shop orders before the submission deadline of 14.30. Effectively area managers would like to be able to login and check if the shop managers order is correct and make ammendments if necessary. Once the orders have been entered we need to be able to extract the order information in order to generate the production processing and order picking sheets. The question is what is the best solution/platform to use to satisfy these requirements? I have had one company suggest a custom built website that links to Visma Global with a custom made query tool to generate the ordering processing and production documents. The estimate on this system was unrealistic and I am hoping someone can suggest an existing system we can tailor to our requirements. Thanks Neil Harris
