Hi everyone, I am not from the UK but when I was searching around the web for a good web development community to join this one stood out for me because the site looked nice and modern/usable, it wasn't too large that topics got lost amongst themselves and the majority of posts I read were fairly high quality. So to the site staff, it is a great job you are doing here!

 

Anyways, I am from Canada and recently finished studying computer engineering in university but I have been doing freelance web design for about 5 years. Within the last year or so I have been working to update my skills because I had realized that there within the past couple of years web design technology has exploded! Each new tool I learned really improved my productivity and quality of work.

 

Currently I am hoping to learn more programming because my technical knowledge of HTML/CSS is already fairly good, which shouldn't be too hard because I have an computer engineering background with other languages. But my JavaScripts skills are a bit soft for a wannabe web developer. Anyways, consider this my formal introduction. I plan on checking the site every now and then so y'all will probably see me around.
