I really don't understand the basics of classes col-md-4 or col-sm-4 or col-xs-4

 

can anybody explain?

Col-md-4 will span 4 out of 12 columns (33.333%) on screens larger than the screen-md breakpoint. The others work in the same way but for the other breakpoints.
