Previewing for Retina Display

Chrome can supposedly preview a page as though you are previewing it on Retina Display. I have two graphics that were not setup for Retina Display, as in, I didn't make the 2x images, only one image. If you don't make the 2x image the image should look blurry, I don't know if Chrome Retina Preview ability is showing me things correctly ?
