November 24, 201411 yr So , after playing with Divi for some time, I run across these: - How can I like apply a layout from builder to the post page ? - Is there a way to customize the sidebar module further like add divider lines ? - At the bottom left of my homepage, just below the recent post is the post navigation, I need help to make it looks better. - At the top, in the blue bar is the email and social network. Is there anyway to moce them to the right ? - How can I make Divi "unresponsive" but fit to any width like scailing itself ? Hope you guys can help me. Thanks in advance.
November 24, 201411 yr I think you would have to use a normal page to display your posts but put them in a blog module. Or did you mean you want use the builder in posts? Because I don't think that's possible. Edited November 24, 201411 yr by Jane B
November 24, 201411 yr You can give a side bar module a class but I'm not sure that helps. I'm not sure of the best way to do this off the top of my head. Probably have css to put border-bottom on each widget, or something like that.
November 24, 201411 yr Hi gogito, Ill try and answer your questions as best as possible so far. 1. As jane has pointed out above, you can't use the page builder with posts in Divi. You can use it for the blog page, but not for actual blog posts themselves. 2. Of course you can add divider line. You have access to a Custom CSS panel, add a bit of padding to the bottom of the widget with a margin bottom. 3. I dont understand, do you have a link to your site or a bit more detail here 4. Yes you can, just add this to your CSS area, this will make it go from the left to the right: #et-info { float: right !important; } 5. I am not sure about making it non responsive, with the exception of commenting out all of the responsive CSS in the CSS file. Hope that helps
November 25, 201411 yr Author Thanks a lot you two. As for prob#3: You can see below the post module on the homepage at mmo4teen.com there is the "page 1 of 9 1 2 3 " navigation and currently, it doesn't look vey nice. As for using page builder in post, I've actually found a way to use it but then it conflict with Monarch since Monarch apparently thinks that the end of the post is the end of the page when I use the builder in the post and also for the header so I was looking for a way to customize the single.php file to allow those module like in page.php.
November 25, 201411 yr I still dont really understand you last point, but in terms of the pagination at the bottom of the posts, slightly reducing the font size levels it all up, so it starts to look like the below. To get that look, add this to your custom CSS area: .wp-pagenavi a, .wp-pagenavi span { font-size: 12px !important; }
November 26, 201411 yr Author I still dont really understand you last point, but in terms of the pagination at the bottom of the posts, slightly reducing the font size levels it all up, so it starts to look like the below. To get that look, add this to your custom CSS area: .wp-pagenavi a, .wp-pagenavi span { font-size: 12px !important; } The pagination worked perfectly, thanks a lot. Ah, as for my point: 1. I've found a way to use page builder on post. 2. But I'm also using Monarch Social Plugin from Elegant theme with setting set to display before and after post aka content 3. The module in the page builder are all treated as content so Monarch display be for all of them and below all off them which makes it looks weird 4. So what I'm aiming not to use the page builder in post but modify the post layout using single.php to match a layout of a page I made with the page builder. Hope that was clearer.
