June 14, 200818 yr hi all, I built a (.dwt) template in Dreamweaver (as per usual) and have been creating pages from it (New/Page from Template)... however, now I have come to update the .dwt template file (I only need to edit a menu item), it doesn't seem to work, giving me the message: Updating [...] Done. files examined: 8 files updated: 0 files which could not be updated: 0 total time: (0:00:00) anyone any idea what is going wrong? can provide further info - just ask! ta, eighty0ne

October 16, 200817 yr Hi, I've got a problem with nested templates (using Dreamweaver CS3). Maybe I'm not doing it properly: I've created a base template with an editable region I've created a new html file from the base template then saved as a new template I've created a new html file from the new template In the new template I've edited the content in the editable region This is not transferring to the new html file I'm not sure how to make this work. Obviously I need to make the region editable in the base template to be able to edit it in the new template (that's a nested template, right?). But from here it's still editable in the new html file, i.e. not being updated from the nested template. What do I have to do to the editable region in the new template for it to update to all files created from? Can I correct any mistake I may have made so far to make this work the way I want (this is a simplified explanation - other templates and files have been created from the base template)? Please help - this is driving me crazy! Thanks for your help.
