March 25, 201412 yr If Nominet had NOT chosen to restructure .UK at the same time as the new gTLDs launches then I would of said *.uk had the stability and brand to persist in the competative marketplace. Unfortunately they are removing all the good work they did previously and screwing over the UK internet economy (only the largest registrars and nominet will benefit) and will find their previous monopoly erroding over time. I think .com is in a much stronger position, but will still become less relevant as people get used to the new URL (or indeed URL continues to become less relevant due to search-engines and gateways). /2p
