I want to know the which is best to design in? (Photoshop, Fireworks etc) How hard is it to get clients How hard is it to code HTML and CSS (I know basic HTML) I wanna start earning a bit of cash and in my free time keep learning how to code and design properly. So please can anyone give me tips starting up. Thanks so much.
January 4, 201412 yr I'd first suggest you spend plenty of time learning in order to be competent at coding and design before looking for any real clients. I myself used paid online web services namely Treehouse and Code School, which in my opinion were well worth their money as the material is the best around and it helped me land a good position in the industry. I'd say it's the same in freelancing, you have to produce a good product and gradually build a strong reputation, which means your websites have to be to notch. Education into coding and design is critical if you want to succeed. You're at a young age with no real overheads to contend with which gives you the perfect opportunity to spend your spare time studying this stuff. This industry is very competitive and in order to succeed you have to put in many hours of study to get upto speed, and once there you have to continue to study and evolve your skillset along with changing technologies. But the rewards to be had are great, I love my job and it really does improve one's happiness to have a job they really feel passionate about.
