September 18, 201312 yr Hi People I have been taking some time away from my web designing as I have been working hard in my full time job and been too shattered to spend time building websites. Now things have calmed down I have now decided that after having a couple of months away from web design and after having time for what I had learnt to sink in... I have a website project which I need to complete in the next 8 weeks... Another church website! I was just wondering what people would say are the current trends I should be taking into account in this project as we all know that in this time of rapid change things are changing so quickly that in as little as 2 months I am once again faced with the situation where my web design skills are now Out of Date! Anyone wanna suggest any resources/blogs/forum posts/websites which would help me get back up to speed with the latest trends, your suggestions would be much appreciated. Regards Chris
September 19, 201312 yr Hate to say it but flat UI is a trend at the moment. If you Are looking for design bits then I always look on dribble for inspiration and I also follow a few designers who I love the work of and try to imitate it and build on their ideas with my own sites If your after development things then again following awesome developers helps and also finding a technology or language that you love to work in is really great . Personally I'm not one for trends and I think designers should only use inspiration and then build there own sites, to be different and also stay ahead of the generic trends of the time.
