Hey guys!

My names Liam I'm 21 and have been doing web design on and off for about 5 years. Today I was lucky enough to be accepted onto a web developer apprenticeship! Which many of you will know is a fantastic opportunity when you have no qualifications. I have come to this site to hopefully get feedback on any projects I do in the future to get good tips and hopefully improve my chances of success within the design industry.

My first question is: Other than HTML and CSS what do people think would be good coding to learn in my spare time outside of this course? and any recommended tutorials?

Thanks and I look forward to being part of this community!

Liam

Hi Liam, welcome to the forum.

I use PHP and have found the documentation and community support to be excellent, I guess learning what your employer uses would be a good starting point if you want to progress in the company though and you'd also be able to get some hands on help from the more senior developers there aswell as here.

Sam
