Yes i agreed with you, the unique content is the major thing to stable our website or business.

This is easy to achieve if you PLAN your content and group it in logial pages rather than a sparse paragraph and a half hearted image. For me it's content first as this gives the best overall finish as the design is simply there to present the information.

 

For example for a car garage instead of having the traditional 'testimonials' and 'gallery' pages I have found it's better to make a page about say 'resprays' with a mini gallery of resprays the garage has done with a few testimonials from customers who have used this service along with a contact form / contact details to request a quote.

 

This makes the page unique vs an accident repair page done the same way. It will naturally be packed with a diverse collection of unique long tail search terms and it's everything about the service the user is interested in.

 

By supporting the garage service with testimonials you will build initial trust with the user, with pictures you prove the quality of the work the garage does, through the text you should of informed the users of any garage features / awards for your work, any gurantee of service etc and then boom a point of contact for the user to request a quote.

 

Voila, 'engaging, quality, unique contenty type stuff' that user will like, and no doubt share; however the main point is this should be done before any design takes place, too many sites are built as shells to be filled with content.

#1 and #3 are basicly the same thing, if you have useful content, it will probably attract links.

 

#2 serp's will start to go up once the backlink juice starts to kick in.

 

So the most important thing would be to simply create content that is useful for your targeted audience, there are lots of other imprtant seo tricks you could do to optimize the efficiency of that content, but creating content that is useful should be most important.
