July 5, 201313 yr Hi guys, just wondered if anyone else knows about this cookie law from the EU? I'm still learning how to make websites (thinking of making a career of it in the future) but this new cookie law concerns me. I'm not intending to have cookies on any website but it seems that if you just make a simple flash video (like a short clip of a spinning graphic or similar) and add it to your site, apparently you have to declare this under a 'cookie policy' as flash puts LSO's (flash cookies) in flash files by default. So: 1) Is there a way to remove flash cookies from a flash file created in the the Adobe Suite? If yes, what version? 2) How would someone even explain in a 'cookie policy' that they only use cookies for entertainment purposes for their website and aren't interested in using flash cookies to collect personal data? 3) I am a newbie with flash, so how do I know that these LSO's aren't collecting user data without my knowledge? 4) How have you guys (if you have a website that uses any cookies) gone about making your website compliant with the new EU cookie law? 5) Are there alternatives to making an animation free of any cookies? (I know about GIF's, but they are terrible quality from my experience). Thanks
