June 25, 201313 yr Hello, I havnt designed a site to be reviewed in over 10 days now... Mainly due to lifes problems taking over... This morning I have been working on a clan website for a Call Of Duty Black ops 2 Clan (ps3 )... Its not a real clan at all, but me and my mates sometimes use the clan tag "PiFF" so i have made it in honur of that. Its not finished yet and have basicly run out of ideas of what to do next, so just posting this to get feedback of what ive got so far. http://postimg.org/image/jk28iphq1/ -thanks.. Im going to try to add content to the site later throughout the day and get reviewed on that when its ready... so, for now i just want feedback on what ive got.
June 25, 201313 yr Author cannot re-edit my post... but i am going home from work soon.. Just spend 45 minutes working on content part... thought id take advantage of the situation and learn how to use layer masks and stuff, bit sketchy but it has turned out okay IMO... defiantly going to experiment a lot more with layer masks and stuff in my next design.. http://postimg.org/image/moajlcjkt/ Thanks! June 27, 201313 yr I can't tell if it's how you cut the image but the "SIGN UP", "LOGIN", "DISCUSSION", "MEDIA" links at the top are not centered vertically in the black section. I'm honestly not too keen on the font you're using for the large blocks of text. Try another font that's sans-serif. The input boxes on the form are a little off. I think the border is ruining the look slightly. The "Piff clan are recruiting" block should be centered in that right section. Along with the block-text and the form. The background-image you're using for the blocks below (Keeping Updated on BO2) and (Latest Intel) are not great. They look pixelated and out of place. July 1, 201313 yr Author Thanks for the reply! Thats exactly the sort of feedback I like, Straight to the point... Taken on board the poitns you made for my next design... Pretty much all of it i agree with.. i read wat you put and then looked at the design and said to myself "oh yeah, that makes sense".. so, the fact that you've picked up on a lot of the small stuff i "ignored" while designing is very helpful! thanks again (P.S. Im not ACTUALLY making a clan, just a clan site for web design practice and Ive played way too much cod lately so its all thats in my mind lol)
