March 17, 200719 yr 'Evnin everybody. This is just a little question I just came across. I have been contacted by a client who wants me to design a custom forum skin for his forum, which is great. He has a set budget, and it struck me: I know I should be sending some sort of contract too him, but he lives in the USA, and I live in Wales. So what should I do? Should I email him a contract, or just carry on with the work?
March 17, 200719 yr I'd email him and put a copy in the post asking to sign and return it to you... Yup, it might take a bit of time (and a little bit of cost), but is worth it Even if you don't have to use it - the simple presence of a contract can focus the mind of a client from messing around!
March 17, 200719 yr I agree Ben, and also helps setting what you have agreed to do. Many people would come back to you asking for more to be done and expect not to pay for it. If you have a set contract you are covered and things are clear.
March 17, 200719 yr Author Thanks! I found this contract template on the web: http://www.zenfulcreations.com/resources/w...gn_contract.htm That should do the trick I think
