April 3, 201313 yr Hi all i am a complete beginner here and what i know comes from research, passion and interests (no qual's), i have built a handfull of site for things like community organizations, book shop, old fashion sweet shop and a deli. having things like paypal, several diff forms, facebook comments likes login, nothing i think thats been remotely difficult however! my next site is for a wellbeing center and i need to have a booking page were you select the type of therapy then the day and time thats available from the table and pay for it all in the same page, when selected, it then needs to be able to send that data to email and text with a pdf file attatched for patient history that. there is no time limit on the project so i have plenty of time to research and use tutorials my problem is i dont know what i am looking for to search. i presume it's all table and mysql, if this is understandable i would really appreciate a check list and maybe a few tut links if possible to get me started. yes i seem to love jumping in the deep end with concrete shoes. really appreciate all info and help thanks in advance Edited April 3, 201313 yr by pauluk
April 3, 201313 yr Hi Paul, It doesn't sound like you are a complete beginner if you've setup numerous sites for established business, as well as implement logins, etc... Personally I can't help you, but I think some of the wizards in PHP on here might be able to help you. I won't mention names as I don't want to speak on their behalf. Time is on your side, so best do it from scratch, but if you have the money to do so, you could have a look at some of the scripts on codecanyon.net and find a way to create your own. Certainly a jumping into the deep end bit of advice though Good luck

April 4, 201313 yr Sorry I couldn't be of any direct help but hope that you can gain something from the above
April 8, 201313 yr For a relatively complex project like this, you *must* break it into pieces and work on a item at time (keeping in mind that you still have other pieces to link together). Keep it abstract, draw you schematics. Coding is the last step, and you should have everything crystal clear when you start writing your code. The high-level thinking of the project should be language independent. When your website "run" fine on paper, then you can start implementing it. this is the best way to avoid headaches and last-minute-structure-changes. Hope it helps.
