Greetings, newbie here

 

I want to create a simple one page to sell one product,i need one of those applications that one must enter his mail to get a sample,then he gets the sample either by redirect or into his mail.

 

I would like to know what kind of code I'm looking for, and are there any pre made. free or to buy?

Like selling a book, but you offer a chapter for free!

 

To get it, you have to enter your mail, then you recieve it by mail or you get a link by mail to download(pfd prefereably).

This plan seems like a major hassle.....you have to take SEO into the equation and if you really wanna make any money from it that's a big part of this, and you might be chasing potential customers away with the whole "enter email to get preview" you need to realise that people don't like going through a registration proccess even if it's only a simple email, why not make a one page presentation of the book chapter that you wish them to preview and if they want to have it on their device they can download the preview?

 

You will endup attracting way more potential buyers this way.

 

Where as if you want them to apply via email to recieve the download link....well some of them will be like "I can't be arsed" and some of them will be worried about their privacy, some will think it's a spam scam, etc.

you raise a valid point sir, just yesterday i was thinking should i order some advice on selling books through mail, so it took a few minutes to say yes, but as you pointed out, people might think; hey he wants my mail, now im getting spam.

 

The only thing that made me think about it was the whole complexity, if you have a simple site people think you did not make an effort...

on the contrariy minimal is hip it's the current fad, everyone wants minimal and beautiful, trust me people preffer simplycity these days, just look at google, it's pure minimalism, one logo one button, one input field

To be honest, something like a wordpress with a custom theme and a few plug-ins should do the trick. You can get many themes (which are the look of your site) for free or buy a premium theme, but if you're serious, I'd get a custom theme designed for you from a pro designer.

See if it were me, designing this website, I'd probably go for.... a very minimal approach, something like a wooden texture with a nice warm lighting (to give it a homely feel) and a sheet of paper on it so it looks like it's on a desk or maybe an open book, and buttons stylishly carved into the wood, with some nice hover effects

 

You can do all that in CSS and HTML no problem, then just offer them a sort of download button in their preffered format

and if it ever attracts a lot of people make a sort of "book club" "forum" not a full forum.... just hmm hard to desribe
