December 3, 201213 yr Hi there, I would be most grateful if someone could give me some advice. I work for an organisation that provides advice and support to other organisations. My background is in marketing but I've been studying web authoring so I have been learning Javascript, asp.net, HTML etc. I've built sites as a student but this hasn't included a cms which will need to be included for our customer. I've to build a site for one of our client organisations and its not really the coding that bothers me (yet). I'm just really unsure about the first stages. For instance, the organisation does not have a server. What will be the next stage? Is it best to ask the customer for their bank details to purchase the domain name and hosting? I also understand I will have to configure a database? How difficult is this? The planning of content etc has already been complete, the website will be of a fairly simple design, I just need advice on some of the fundamentals as opposed to design. Thanks in advance.
