Mac Online Backup Storage

Featured Replies

Hi,

I know this isn't exactly hardware related but I couldn't see the software section.

I currently use Mozy for online backups (via Barclays Business Account as an extra) which works fine, but am looking at using someone else and cancelling my business account extras.

Can anyone recommend a good solution to auto backing up of all the files on my mac, which will do so if a file has been updated, new files added etc etc

I use Time Machine and an external drive but wanted online storage also.

Thanks

I use dropbox in the office and at on a regular basis for my backup's and auto syncs. I work from my dropbox folder a lot so I can have my files available in the office and or at home/on the go. There is also google cloud and a plethora of others which are decent as well. I use dropbox because its affordable and meets the scope of my current needs. If you search for "cloud storage solutions" you should be able to find blogs comparing all the various cloud services out there; which ultimately will help you narrow down exactly what you want/how much you would like to spend/amount of space you need/etc.

I think Dropbox, Drive and Skydrive are more for adding in the files you want to save rather than saving your whole mac's drive too?!

And compared to others I've checked out, they are more expensive too.

Thanks though.

OOOH, I misunderstood. Sorry about that. Yeah I have about 100 gigs of space on my drop box that I use and I find it plenty. But yeah, you are going to need a completely different solution that what I am using, not too sure what that is! Good luck. If you find anything interesting do you mind reposting it here so I can check it out?
