September 22, 201213 yr Hey all. I imagine you get this one fairly often so do apologise if I'm being a noob as couldnt find anything with a search. I am looking to get something as close to Picasa as possible on my own hosting. Basically, have multiple albums containing often 200+ images and I want to make albums available to select individuals. In an ideal world I would want to avoid having to use usernames and passwords and rather restrict access by link or password (both ftw!). Would also be ideal, if person A who has access to Album A, cannot also see there is an Album B, C, etc. i.e www.mysite.com/persona takes you straight to the intended content with no wider access. (I want to intergrate it as much as possible with the existing site design but thats fun and games for another day!) I have briefly looked at coppermine, gallery, etc but i dont have a whole lot of experience with them and they seem way overkill for what I want to achieve. ALL I require is images presented, don't need comments, don't need details, nothing, nada. Keeping the Admin side of things as simple as possible for someone used to Picasa and the like is also important, as is bulk image uploading via the web interface. I am competant enough to implement whatever is needed, but the person who will be using it on a day to day basis to create albums and upload images to them needs it as simple as possible.
